I cased this sketch by Amy Sheffer (pickled paper design)/ see her June 28th posting. Of course her card turned out way better. I also loved the colors that she used and kept mines the same. Let's see...what have i been up to lately. To tell you the truth, i've been in such a "rut" that i'm just down in the dumps. It's turning out to be one of those months. Just LIFE in general. Perhaps it's the economy that's having this effect one me...gas prices, food prices, etc... Whose to know if it will get worse or better. Well, it's FINALLY time for me to get my butt in gear and start actively looking for a job...but you know when your mind and body doesn't want to go and you're already forcing yourself to do it because it's NOT a choice any longer? That's where i'm at now. I hate that feeling. :0( What makes this even harder is i don't know what i want to do as far as working. Office? Retail? Lord help me!!! Okay, enough about depressing talk...LOL!

So, let me share with you what i've been doin' in the meantime. As many of you know (my dear friends), this hobby that i've fully invested in is my passion. If i could stay at home and do this as a f/t job i'd be so ever grateful BUT sad to say it's not possible. Just a lil' rambling....there i go again, my brain is drifting in all sorts of directions. I've been making these super duper cute 4x4 booklets. These are just a few ideas i've thought of that you could use them for:

important dates (b-days, anniversaries, etc...)

shopping list

to do list

secret codes ( online passwords )

book log

Now it's your turn. If you have any other ideas i'd love to hear them. I could always use your input. I'm thinking of eventually selling these on etsy/ebay. When/if i do, i'll let u know. Happy 4th of July

So, what is everyone planning for 4th of July? Fireworks? Relaxing? Both? As for the 3 of us...hubby, myself & "fury" daughter are spending some much needed "friend bonding time" with our good friends. We'll be relaxing and eating (our favorite thing to do). I can't wait to tackle the dessert....strawberry pie!!! If you get a chance to come to Hawaii, i'd say go...no run (LOL!) to Anna Millers in Aiea and taste there Strawberry pie. It's scrumptious. Just thinking about makes me mouth water.

So i've been crazy busy with "things". Making cards like crazy, prepping for my next workshop, gifts to make, and getting my a&% in gear on my classes. Aside from my daily chores and household duties, I'm still in search of a p/t job. YUCK! I'd rather if I had the choice to stay at home. But, oh well!

Wedding Cards on demand....

This is the time of the year that a lot of couples love to get married. I can agree with that because we chose a June' wedding. I was asked by a few friends and clients to make some wedding cards. This is what I came up with and I hope they'll like them. It took me a good 3-4 hours just to complete 3 cards....YIKES! I still need to come up with more. Can you say ideas, ideas, ideas PLEEEZE. Tell me which one is your favorite of the 3 that I posted.

Stampin Up' Workshop Projects

Aside from being a bad blogger, I'm also a bad demonstrator...:0( The last workshop that I hosted was back in April BUT it felt really good to host again. This time I had 5 girls and we must have laughed more than we wanted to finish our projects...LOL! Overall, it was a good turn out and everyone had fun. I'm planning my next workshop for July and I'm super excited to see ALL the new goodies Stampin Up is having in there Fall/Winter 08' catalog. Now I leave you with photos of the projects that we did. Such a BAD blogger

I've been such a bad blogger lately...:0( I find it very difficult for me to blog on a daily basis OR even a few times a week. I get SO caught up in "other" things that it just slips my mind and in my mind is NOT a must. Does that sound bad or what?! Another factor I don't keep up with blogging is because I'm checking everyone else's blogs...haha! My life is not the most exciting nor interesting...:0( Well, I have some things to blog about now so here goes...Aren't these just the cutest lil' stamps? I wish I could have gotten them ALL but my pocketbook would probably kill me. OR shall I say my husband may kill me. Anywho, these images are from a company called Dandelion here in Hawaii. However, i think she sells them all over the U.S. She also has a blog that you can visit here I have yet to make some samples using these stamps and boy will they get inked soon. If you decide to invest in these stamps I'd sure love to see what you create. I have several requests for wedding, thank you, baby cards , so, I need to finish those first.

Caught the Bug

I've been icky sick the past week....eeeew! Coughing my brains out and running nose....UGH! We all know that when we catch the bug we are not up to anything....no energy at all. So needless to say, I have not created nor stamped in over a week. I'm hoping to feel better in a few days because I really need to get my classes prepped, schedule my workshop, and meet some other deadlines.

Doggie Notepad

Here it is...the doggie notepad that I made for Lily's groomer. I didn't take a picture of the pen because well...i was in a hurry. She liked it and she even asked me if I knew she had poodles as her dogs. Of course I didn't know but needless to say she loved it. Now to make more of these.

....completing lots of "stuff". And I mean lots of stuff. My brains have been racing to create projects, conduct classes and workshops. I can't even begin to tell you how busy I've been. Okay, so enough about that and lets get to the good stuff. I couldn't believe how EASY these were to make and if you do several of these at one time it's even faster. The only time consuming part (for me) was to "fish" for ideas for the front of the notepad. I've been making lots of these 5x8 Jr. notepads to sell and I'm still creating. I like my "things" to have lots of bling & not too plain, but, that's just me & my style. Soooo....enjoy & let me know what you think. I'll have more projects posted thru out next week so stay tuned. :0)

***EDIT: I made a doggie design notepad w/ the beaded pen for Lily's groomer today. I'll post a picture of that one later.

My 1st Official Workshop

These are the fun projects that I demo'd at my first official workshop as a Stampin Up demonstrator. I can't tell you all the fun, laughter and fellowship we did. OH, let's not forget about the grilled hamburgers & hot dogs. I think the girls had as much fun as I did and they liked the "easy-peasy" projects that I did. So, I'm off and planning my next workshop.....wish me luck!!!

Slacking big time on my blog. Sorry gang! Just so much on my mind and so much to do. Trying to rush out orders, complete workshop stuff as well as prepping for classes. With my husband gone on deployment, I'd figure I'd have alot of time to "play"...yah right! Okay, enough complaining. This area has changed a little. Just a little bit of everything here.

Lily's area where she plays & sleeps while mom is scrapping. I just love it when she's napping.

Lily's toys. She has much much more toys. Due to the space issue, I have her toy box in another room. Do you see the stuffed cream colored doll laying upside down? We've named it "boyfriend" and she's so smart that she knows who he is everytime we ask her to get him. So cute.

This area has also changed a little. A friend of mines gave me some corner caddys that I put in the corner. I love DP. Can't get enough of them.

This is my scrap area where I do my work. Since this photo, I have bought some cubbies to store my pens, and other things in. Wish I had a bigger space where I could invite my friends to scrap in here.

This lil' corner is where I do my sewing.

My magazines & ribbon. You wouldn't have believed the amount of magazines I had just a few months ago. A whole bookshelf full. And now I only have what's in those metal cubbies. Not bad huh?

My closet where I store odds and ends. It's full in here to. As you can see I should say this is Lily's closet. This is ALL her clothes. Yes, she is very spoiled by her mum.

My next BIG project will be to color my room & add shelving on the walls. I think I'll wait on that one though, it was very tiring moving ALL my things into this room....whew! The minute I saw these lil' cuties, I knew I had to have them. I stumbled upon these cuties while blog surfing. They are from a line called The Angel Co. You can get more information on Kim's blog Kim O'rosky/ Sunshiny Days. She also has other images from this line. I'm glad I found these because they are just darling.

Okay, can someone teach me how to hyperlink (is that the correct wording?). I've seen alot of bloggers link up sites in there posts. I have a mac computer & am not familiar with how to do this. These are some recent photos of Lily that I want to share. The first photo I just had to get her in her new haircut. I think this style is cute on her. I maybe having the groomers cut her this way from now on since she hates me putting bows in her hair. The next photo is her all sacked out after a hard day. :0) She looks so peaceful and comfy. She has a little are in my scrap room that she naps & plays. Most of the time she's trying to get my attention and play while I'm trying to work. I'll be sharing my "little" scrap room very soon. Things in my room are very tight and cluttered since changing room. But I love it even though, it's my place where I can come to relax & create.

Monkey See.....Monkey Do!!!

Ahhhh....I just love this card! Not only because I like monkeys (they need to be cute like these) but because of the colors chosen and my "elementary" coloring. I totally cased this card by Cambria (just changed up the colors to my preference). If you haven't, go and check out her work. She is, amongst many, one of the most talented people out there. I don't know her personally, but I absolutely love her work. I did make 2 of these cards but gave one away to a friend who loved it and she went shopping for these adorable monkeys too.

Exciting News.....Read on

FINALLY!!! It's finally finished...YAH! Being that I gave her the album, I am now able to share it here. She liked it & so did I. Have you ever started out on a project OR card and thought to yourself....hmmmm, this is SO nice I don't want to give it away? Is this normal? I always find myself being sad when it's time to part with it. Okay, enough about this yappy subject. Almost all of the products used on this album is from Stampin Up. There was another 2-page layout but I ran out of room on the upload site. This is what I specialize in....scrapbook albums. It's my favorite project to do.

I also have some exciting news to share. I signed up to be a Stampin Up demonstrator so I'm official. I'm excited to get started and get things going. More, More, More.....Workshop Projects

This one is a coaster calender. There's magnetic on the back too. Such a simple yet elegant project.

I forgot the exact name of this project card but it's very cute & easy-peasy.

I'll have more to share later, especially one of the baby boy albums that I finished. I don't want to post it yet, my friend who ordered it hasn't seen it yet. Still finishing up the other one. OH, one more thing, I'll have pictures of my scrapbook room too. I still want to tweek somethings but other than that it's working for me. No more keeping my mom up late with my noise....:0)

Lily went to the groomers on Saturday. We're giving this new groomers a try and "i think" it's going well. They said she was well behaved but I wonder if she'll ever get over the shaking upon getting there. I'll post pictures of her new look too. From what I heard they give the animals massages....OH how I would like to have one at the moment. So you'll have to stop by again to see all these wonderful photos I have in store.

Let's see where do I start. I've been away from blogging for a few days, i know, i know, BUT I have a very good personal reason which I can't share here. But now I'm back and I have some things to share with you. So stay tuned.

I couldn't make a Stampin Up' workshop that my demonstrator has holding on Saturday so I got to go over on Sunday and do some projects that was done at her workshop. How cool is that. However, this is NOT one of the projects that was given. I just happened to see this card on the table & absolutely fell in love with it. So of course, I had to make one. My favorite pink & brown scheme and the pin w/ pearls. I need to put that on my wish list. I will be making more of these cards when I can get the supplies. But I love how it's so elegant yet pretty.

I have so many card ideas & projects just floating around in my head that I really need to get them out. However, I need to really finish up those baby boy albums first. Tomorrow I'll be sharing another card/project with you from the workshop.

Beates Sketch & "Casing"

I made this card awhile ago. I came across one of Beate's cards & absolutely loved the look of it. Of course mines does not measure up to hers. Thank you Beate (if you ever read my blog) for your inspiration. My cupcake is stamped a little crooked but it will do. I really need to get stampin... can someone help me find my mojo juice! My card stash is completely empty. I just hate that. Almost everything that I've used on this card is Stampin Up except the DP.

Tonight my husband & I had to leave our "furry" daughter at home with my mom to babysit (heehee). We went to his cousins wedding at the Halekulani Hotel. We didn't quite make it to the wedding but the reception was very nice. Of course I used the wedding card (in one of my posts) that I made....i just hope she likes it. Her favors were very simple pillow boxes w/ a satin ribbon tied around. Her center pieces were martini glasses, martini shaker & a beautiful stand to keep it in. DARN, didn't win the center piece....my mother-in-law took it. Overall, it was nice to see the family & just relax.

This will be a very short post. I just wanted to share these cards with you that I "cased" (again) from Lauren Meader. She has such beautiful cards & inspiration. Of course this is not as nice as hers....but I tried. These cards are so cute that I don't want to give them away. By the way, I have to say I love these stamps....SO CUTE! I'm still awaiting my order from All That Scraps for the "new released" set of these cuties.

Sorry, but maybe tomorrow I'll give you a sneak peak at my baby albums that I'm working on.

Eventually I want to start working on my scrapbook room. My mom bought me some cubbies which I will be storing my paper, magazines & albums in. I know what color I want to paint my room.....PINK. I can't wait to get started! That will be a work in progress. Untill tomorrow..........:0)

I am so shocked at how this card came out....haha! I really love it. However, I'm a little disappointed in myself because I can never come up with my own ideas. I'm really good at casing someone else's.....in this case it was nitestamper over at SCS. I think I was drawn to this hobby to "case" other peoples ideas and that, in MY opinion is so sad. Overall, I just have a passion for this hobby like everyone else. Oh well...it's late and I'm probably not making any sense.

I had to make a wedding card for my husbands cousins wedding next week and I will be using this card.

Whew, I FINALLY finished this project I set out to do. I didn't have everything I wanted to create all planned out BUT I do think the set came out nice. I just hope she likes it. She's not a scrapbook type of person, but she did like my scrapbook room....this gift set was for my cousin. I forgot to include in her gift set some chocolates (which almost every gift loves)....DUH! I also made a altered big paper clip & altered pen (not shown here). I gifted this card set using those clear plastic boxes from Papertrey Ink.....gotta love these! I plan on updating you when and if I hear from her if she liked it or not. I know if I received this as a gift I'd love it!

I have to give thanks to akjuda from SCS for posting her beautiful monogram cards. I totally "cased" her idea. Thank you for sharing!

Lily's Teeth Cleaning Day

....okay so I'm a tad bit late posting tonight OR shall I say today...:0) Well, I took Lily to have her teeth cleaned today. Did you know they have doggie dentists. Who knew. She was quite the fighter when we got there, but when I went to pick her up, the dr. said she was wonderful. Huh? My daughter? Wonderful? Can't be. I'm just glad she had a good teeth cleaning as it can lead to possible health problems. She'll go back to have her teeth cleaned again in 6 months. Well worth it in my opinion. OH, and it's not the kind of cleaning of just brushing w/ toothpaste....he actually takes off the tarter build up & without putting the dog under anesthesia to. Overall, this was a success.

I don't have anything to post today. I'm working on some monogram gift cards as well as some other odds and end cards. I'll post those as soon as I can. I need to get busy on 2 scrapbook albums that I received orders for. They are baby boy albums. Maybe if I can get it uploaded I'll share the cover I started for one of the baby boy album.

I'm still awaiting my new/current C.C. Design stamps. I can't wait to play with them. I've seen so many inspiring cards that I'll need to "case". :0) OH, and I can't wait to play with Stampin' Up's DP. I'm in love with there new line of DP. I think Ginger Blossom and Berry Bliss will be my favorites. Okay, enough blabbling...will see you a little later.

Here is a photo I took w/ my new Sony digital. Not the best (i think) but it will do. Of course the colors in the photo doesn't do the card justice. It's much colorful IRL. As I was blog lurking I fell in love with this card design by Dawn Easton (Treasure Oiler Designz) "Embracing Life". Of course I changed it to my own creation but would like to give credit to her for posting her beautiful card. The layout itself is from SCS Sketch Challenge. I'm not confident enough to post my work there YET. Maybe one day. :0)

It has been SO frustrating without a camera. I couldn't take it any longer and asked hubby if I could buy another one. My original camera is a Sony digital Cybershot and it's only 3 years old. I really love this camera, however, i'm not sure if it will be worth fixing. The camera alone cost $400. So I set out to buy another Sony digital and I did find one at a good price $125 but without a lot of the extra features. It has to do for now until I can save enough money to buy a better one. For now, I only need it to take picture of my work before parting with them ....:0)

Since my camera is acting "goofy" well not really goofy, i think it's broken I don't know when i'll be able to take photos to post. Damit! Since I wasn't "smart" in purchasing the extended warranty for my camera, i don't know how much it will cost me to fix. I've had my Sony digital for 3years and ONLY NOW it decided to give me a headache. I guess i'll be calling Sony to find out what's wrong with it & the dreaded cost to fix it. If it's too much to fix, i'll just have to convince hubby to buy me another one....hey, my birthday is coming up in 2 months. Hmmm...copic markers or camera? Such a tough choice.

Enough about the grumbling....i leave you with a cute photo i took of the "girls". This is my mom's pom pom Mia. She's approx 9years old now. Lily loves to play with her and tries to bite her tiny feet when they're playing ball. So funny & fun to watch. Thank god they get along.

I think i'll be spending my New Years Eve making cards & writing up my resolutions for 2008.

Introducing.....Our "furry" Daughter Lily

I haven't officially introduced you to our (husband & I) "furry" love of our lives....LILY. She's currently (in this photo) 1yr & 7months old. She is currently almost 4lbs and she probably won't grow much more. Lily is a mixed maltese with 1/8 poodle & 1/8 chihuahua. This dog is SUPER smart. She's potty trained, knows alot of words....water, food, pillow, blanket, toy, monkey, ball, boyfriend, etc..... We consider her our child since we don't have any (YET). Lily has brought so much joy, happiness & love to our family. She's constantly making us laugh with things she does...for example, she likes to push her ball (one of her favorite toys) with her nose under our sofa and looks at us with her sad eyes saying to get it for her. So, as you lay down to reach under the sofa to get the ball, she's right there next to you with her butt up high and her nose & eyes looking under the sofa waiting patiently. It's just hilarious. One of these days I will need to get a good picture of this. She is just simply spoiled by her mom & dad. But most of all she is greatly loved by the both of us. I must warn you though, she doesn't like people very much (very protective of her mom especially). Her bark is probably much scarrier than her bite. But we all know she couldn't even hurt a fly....hahaha!

This is her most recent picture taken this Christmas. We had her groomed just in time for Christmas & all dressed up for picture taking. She may just be the princess of clothes....she has her very own closet "almost" full of clothes.

So, on this blog I will be posting alot of picture and stories of Lily since she is part of the family.

When I saw Lauren Meaders version of this, I just had to give it a try. I'm glad I did because it was so easy & fun. These were given to those people that you forget or just want to give them something small. I have become very inspired by her creations and am grateful that she is willing to share them with us. Thank you Lauren!

My New Years resolution for 2008' will be to dedicate more of my time (what time?) to doing what I love....Scrapbooking & Card-making. Last year 2007' I didn't get to make things as I would have liked. I plan on selling at craft fairs next year also...so YES that means I have to start getting busy. I hope 2008' will be a better year for me. My life can't be revolving around work only.

I hope to keep up with THIS blog and post some exciting things here. You know how life can get....:0(
